Writer In Residence
Writer In Residence
This year our Writer In Residence was Geronimo Tagatac, an awesome writer. First we talked about the three things that there are in writing. The three things are character, plot, and setting. We started out with character. He gave us all pictures of people or puppets and we had to describe them and what they were doing. It was really fun.
After, we finished characters we went on to the setting. We got a picture of a house and we had to talk about. We had to write where it was, what time it was and what you smelled, tasted, and heard.
The last thing we worked on was the plot. We had to write about us being a ghost and how it would be. Last we combined all three of those rules and wrote out a story. I wrote about coming back from a place to my house and it was all different.
Geronimo was here for four days and in that four days I learned a bunch. He had lots of experience in writing, he has been to lots of places, and he had lots of cool stories of his life. I really wish I could have him again.
